We wish to acknowledge the contributions to our life and work and to this website of our Benedictine friends Sr. Donald Corcoran, OSB (Cam.), Sr. Jeanne Marie Pearse, OSB (Cam.), Abbot Patrick Barry, OSB and Father Ralph Wright, OSB and to other friends whose presence and talent also grace our lives-Astrid Fitzgerald, Toinette Lippe, and Solveig Eskedahl.
Good News!
Jean’s original translation of Hymns from the Rig Veda is now available in quadrilingual translation and may be downloaded by clicking here.
Cost for entire text and paintings is $25.
The presentation of the twelve hymns in this book makes available a portion of one of the major scriptures of humanity in contemporary idioms (English and French, tr. Jean Le Mée; German, tr. Volker Stutzer; and Spanish, tr. Gerardo del Cerro) that reflect the quality, substance, and form of the original.
A stunning collection of twenty-six full-color reproductions of paintings by the renowned Indian painter Prem Raval inspired by this translation forms an integral part of the presentation and adds to it a new dimension.
